This take down tool kit is just what you need for easy take down and cleaning of your Kimber 4.2” barrel pistol. Don't know why Kimber doesn't offer this guiderod as standard in all their 4” 1911 pistols.

Great Tool
This kit is a great improvement over the original Kimber parts. Why Kimber came up with their funky design is beyond me especially on a high priced weapon like theirs. This kit makes disassembly so easy and aleviates damage to the bushing from using the " bent pin ".

Great Tool--Get It!!
Excellent engineering, easy to install, makes take down and cleaning my Kimber a breeze. I agree with the other opinion that Kimber should make this part of the original purchase and protect the excellent finish on the weapon. Absolutely an perfect compliment to an excellent weapon.
