Currently, we offer 2 tools for the Kimber 3" bushing-less barrel pistols. These tools are a must-have item for any Kimber owner. The Long Tool lines up the half-moon on the slide stop, allowing you to lock your slide rearward. Made of Delrin, so no scuffing or wearing your expensive firearm finish.
Additionally we make a short tool that has a step and directly replaces your factory tool allowing you to break down the recoil spring more efficiently and the long tool allows you to remove the slide stop lever with ease. To us, they both have a place with the Kimber Ultra II series, the reason we are producing both tools. The long tool allows for an easy breakdown, however, the spring is under more pressure if you're looking to clean the recoil springs the short tool is perfect. great product
A little difficult to remove when done reassembling, but this tool works terrifically and makes disassembly and assembly of a Kimber Ultra much easier.

Take Down Tool
To be honest - you must use oldest most worn out and driest Kimber in your possession. After cleaning and lubricating my Kimber Ultra II, your brand new plastic tool was incredibility difficult to get off the rod. I resorted to a small screwdriver to pry it off. I then proceed to pry it open a bit to loosen it up, this helped a lot. You could mention this in your videos as a tip, and it would have made my experience much better. It certainly was not as easy as the video display, but after more than several tries it worked as advertised.

Long Kimber take down tool
I bought two of the long ones and a short one after purchasing a kimber ultra carry 2. I used the provided take down wire the first time I field stripped it, so was looking for an alternative. I have to say I am disappointed in the long tool. It worked great for taking down, but when I put the gun back together I could not get the tool off the rod. I had to finally resort to using long nosed pliers to get them off, which appears to have damaged the tool. Looked a whole lot easier in the video than in real life.

Exceeded expectation. The precision is uncanny accurate and the tool is so simple to use and inexpensive that I fail to grasp why Kimber doesn't throw this in the gun case if for no other reason than to eliminate any chance of scratching your new Kimber.

Long tear-down tool
I have used it once. I significantly helped in the assembly, giving two hands to insert the slide stop. This greatly reduces the risk of the dreaded scratch!

I hated cleaning my gun because of that dumb little tool for Kimber gave us that always made it awkward and I could never align the pinholes and it made me scratch the gun when it was new ...thanks to your product I cleaned my gun twice in one week.. So easy to put back together
