This additional space allows your lower finger to fit more comfortably by gripping the gun. A textured front in the plate helps guides the finger into place for a secure grip which helps reduce muzzle flip and increases overall performance. Horrible product
I purchased a baseplate and the hole that is supposed to connect to the bottom plate was on the wrong side, very disappointed because I can’t even use it! NDZ Administrator Note (July 13th, 2020) Hello Ferehewot, We understand your frustrations however, the insert must still be used when installing this plate. We shift the location of the hole in order to have more room to laser on, however, the magazine plate is still fully capable of being removed. These plates are well made. Problem is that these plates do not allow magazines to fully seat. Slap the mag all you want but chances are the mag will drop When you fire.
