Gen 4 trigger bar.....
I received a gen 4 trigger bar (clearly labeled on the package)...is that the same as a gen 2 trigger bar?

I use the stock trigger for a problem free gun. Along with the springs of your choice and a different connector; you can tailor it to your needs.

Clean new and just right
Using a gen 3 frame I prefer the gen 4 bar. Has a stiffening detent common to the safety plunger lift ramp. Can slightly feel an improvement over the gen 3 bar.
