OEM and aftermarket slides offer different combinations of features. The Glock 19 Gen 3 OEM MOS slide is listed with carbon-steel construction, a black nDLC finish, and front and rear serrations. The NDZ RMR-cut example uses 416R stainless steel with a Black Nitride finish. These specifications apply to the individual slides; material and finish choices vary by listing.

Choose the optic cut around the mounting system you need. The Glock OEM example has a Standard MOS cut, while the NDZ example has a V1 cut designed for Trijicon RMR sights. Those names describe different mounting arrangements. Confirm the exact optic compatibility and whether an adapter plate, cover plate, or mounting hardware is included rather than assuming every optic-ready slide accepts the same setup.

Check Generation Fitment and What Is Included

A stripped Glock 19 slide is sold without some of the components pictured on an assembled pistol. For example, Glock OEM part 79008 excludes sights, a barrel, and internal components. Generation fitment is a separate decision from the optic cut or finish. The OEM MOS example is listed for Glock 19 Gen 3; that does not establish compatibility with later G19 generations.
