NDZ for Kimber 1911 3" Tear Down Kit Combo - Short and Long 2pcs
Designed specifically for Kimber 1911 Models: Ultra Carry II, Ultra Raptor II, Ultra Aegis II , Ultra II, Ultra Crimson Carry II, Eclipse Ultra II, SIS Ultra, Ultra Covert II, Tactical Ultra II, Ultra CDP II, Pro Carry Officers style pistols that have the through hole for the stock "L" shaped tool bushing-less bull barrel. May work on other MFG's that utilize a captive spring.
NDZ Performance is now offering both of its popular 1911 Kimber Tear Down Tools in one convenient kit. The Long tool allows you to lock your slide rearward, SNAP this in place like shown for super easy (no pressure) slide lock lever removal. Made of Delrin, so no scuffing or wearing your expensive firearm finish. A must have item for any Kimber owner. While our short Kimber tool is direct upgrade over the factory tear down tool.
Tool differences: Currently we offer 2 tools for the 1911 Kimber 3" bushing-less barrel pistols. A short tool that has a step and a longer 1" tool. Basically the short tool directly replaces your factory tool and will allow you to break down the recoil spring easier, and the long tool allows you to remove the slide stop lever with ease. To us they both have a place with the Kimber Ultra II series, the reason we are producing both tools. The long tool allows for an easy breakdown, however the spring is under more pressure if your looking to clean the recoil springs.
Features:
- Convenient two pack of our popular Kimber 1911 tear down tools.
- Allows for easy slide lock slide lever removal, lines up the half moon on the slide. Eliminates the stock Allen key shaped tool.
- Will not scuff or damage finish like stock steel tool.
- Easily snaps in place, also no need to center it like stock Allen key type tool.
- Can help reduce blood pressure, by making teardown more simple.
- All NDZ Performance parts include a lifetime warranty against manufactured defects.
- Proudly made in the USA.

Great Tool!
Lost the little wire thing that came with my Kimber (which never worked all that well anyway) and decided to try this out. I'll tell you, this tool is more than worth it, cant say enough good things about it. It makes the take down sooo easy. Also, my hats off to NDZ, ordered on Thursday and received on Monday (CT to GA), this is outstanding service!

Kimber Pistol Takedown
I bought a new Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II. I was a bit flummoxed with their takedown system/tool. It seemed to require more hands than I have... Your teardown tool makes disassembly very easy, but reassembly requires a little thought. With Kimber's tool, the recoil spring and barrel are held in place by spring tension, but aligning the slide to reinsert the slide lock/takedown lever is difficult. With your tool, there is no spring tension to hold the barrel and recoil spring guide rod in place. With some experimentation, I figured out that I can start the slide onto the frame with the pistol upside down, and then put tension on the guide rod by pressing the end with my finger while I turn the pistol right side up to complete the process...way easier than using Kimber's tool.
