Tactical enhanced safety - Great upgrade
Today I received and installed an NDZ Performance "Tactical Safety (Enhanced, version 2)". I am really impressed with the greater tactile feel of the switch with both bare hands and gloved hands. It functions perfectly, and I believe that the different and higher slopes of the front/back sides of the switch, and the wider topworks, give much superior ergonomics of the control actions of the safety, compared to the original safety switch. I also especially appreciate the socket cap screw and socket wrench to mount the new switch - no longer a concern for any future removal of the Safety switch (not expected!).
A couple of suggestions for improving the installation card that came with the Safety, even though these are covered in the video that is linked by the QR code on the card:
1. Make absolutely sure that the forearm is moved COMPLETELY back, to fully open the receiver and keep it open during this replacement.
2. Make sure the original safety switch is moved to the SAFE position, covering the red dot.
3. Turning the gun on its side ("Lay shotgun sideways. . . ") to perform the switch replacement is not necessary if the two actions above are done. I would suggest deleting that statement.
Both of these two actions will assure that the little safety block (into which the new socket cap screw must be screwed) does not fall into the receiver when the original screw is removed. This will prevent a lot of grief, and minimize effort, to install the new Tactical Safety.
